sailing to Hawaii

Sailing toward Hawaii
We’re in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, making our way at about 20 knots to Oahu. Larry is almost back to normal and has returned to the bridge table once again. Ruthanne continues her art lessons and has produced some terrific pictures. The entertainment, food and accommodations continue to excel and we’re having the time of our life.

Great to hear that Larry has escaped the cabin! Can't wait to see Ruthanne's paintings - you're bringing them home, right? Hope the tech guy in LA helped you out. If you get the chance, be sure to parasail while in Hawaii!!

Larry & Ruthanne
We had terrific winds yesterday that blew over about 40 trees in the Citrus. No damage at your house--good.
In the morning there was a wind shear that came down Liga in Cozumel that cut off a 20" diameter Jacaranda at trunk level about six feet up leaving all of the branches in the street. People on the 12th hole said it looked like a small twister. I saw a 4' x 4' roof vent from a Cozumel house flying through the air about 30' off the ground before it came to rest in the Cozumel Park.

Later in the day the huge Euclyptus, about 70' high, in front of the Gourley's house was toppled and hit the edge of their garage roof.

Other than that all is well here. Won a couple of hundred dollars over the weekend at our Super Bowl golf tournament and party.

Stay well and enjoy your reports very much.

Hi Larry and Ruthanne,
We have thoroughly enjoyed your "blogs" and look forward to many more..
We have just returned from Newport Coast with the Garcias. They were here for a week before we left for Newport Coast . .....so it has basically been two weeks with company. We had a great time but are happy to be back and to try to get back into the swing of things at the Citrus.
I don't want to write too much as I am not sure this will reach you. Please advise as to whether you received this or not.,. If you DID, I will write you very regularly!!
Love, Sandy and Tom

Hi Lor and Ruthanne,
So glad that you are up and about now Lor. Maybe it was that Octopus and not Norovirus??? Anway Mom tells me that you called and that you are well. GREAT! We're in Charleston now and having a good time too. Went to a very old Plantation yesterday with the old slave quarters still in tac. Very interesting! Sounds like you guys missed a wild adventure at home in the desert? Winds must of been horiffic. I hear tell winter has been the pits in the Northwest this year too, so glad we're outta there. Keep well and continue to have a ball. These are the memory making times of our lives.
Love to you both,
Chrissy and Clifford too. xx

Hi guys! Hope all is well. Mom I know you and I played phone tag quite a bit yesterday - sorry we couldn't touch base. Eric has a bunch of friends and family in town for the large event we worked at the Superbowl so we spent the evening entertaining. Spent majority of the weekend at Shannon's though to celebrate my beautiful nephew's bday. The kids always have a blast together and miss their grandparents a lot. Talk to you soon!

All my love - Katie

R & L:

Like others have said everything is OK at the Citrus. Helene & I went over to your house on Sunday and it is A-OK. So is ours. Have fun in Pago Pago. Been there, done that.
If Beth is reading this, I need a Tucker fix. Miss the dog!!! Could I take him off your hands so he and I can play catch sometime between the 20th and the 1st. After the 1st, Helene & I are off for New Zealand.
Take care,

Bill & Helene
